Singer Immigration Law 's principal is Eric Singer.  Before he formed his own firm in 2009, Eric spent over 13 years successfully litigating administrative, business torts, immigration, and family law cases at the trial level and on appeal.  Today, with certain limited exceptions, all Singer Immigration Law does is immigration law -- particularly immigration litigation and removal defense – and post-conviction relief.

Eric represents non-U.S. citizens in removal (deportation) and bond proceedings before the Immigration Judges in Baltimore, Maryland; Arlington, Virginia; and York, Pennsylvania.  His clients generally comprise those facing the adverse immigration consequences of criminal convictions, visa overstay, or those seeking asylum or withholding of removal.  On appeal before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), our country’ highest administrative appellate body on immigration matters, he represents non-U.S. citizens nationwide and overseas who have been ordered removed by an Immigration Judge or who received a favorable decision from which the Department of Homeland Security has taken an appeal.  Eric represents non-U.S. citizens on petitions for review in various federal circuit courts of appeal if they have received a final and adverse BIA decision.

Eric also handles simple and problematic naturalization cases, family-based visa petitions, and adjustment of status applications, and he helps clients secure waivers from various obstacles to admission to the United States as permanent residents.

His clients have included citizens from, among other countries, Angola, Argentina, Benin, Brazil, the Congo, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Gambia, Germany, Great Britain, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Iran, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Kenya, Laos, Liberia, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Paraguay, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Vietnam.

Eric first became taken with immigration law during law school, when he clerked for three Immigration Judges in Arlington, Virginia and also interned both with the then-INS’s Washington, D.C. district counsel’s office and for AYUDA, a well-known immigration clinic D.C.
